And we're off!!!

     The new school year has gotten off to a fast start in both our 6th Grade Homeroom and in Middle School science!

     The new 6th graders are eagerly anticipating their return to The Outdoor School at College Settlement. Since they are now the experienced class on this great adventure, they are collectively looking forward to showing their 5th Grade mates the ropes around the College Settlement campus and enjoying their final year there.




     We will have had Student Council elections by the time this is published and wish Tom, Sophia, and Sean good luck as they run for our STUCO Class Reps!

     Middle school science (5th through 8th grades) has jumped in head first into activities, plans, and work for the first semester. Grade 5 is prepping for their trip to College Settlement by exploring the HCA campus where they identified and observed biotic and abiotic interactions right here on Shadeland Avenue.




     Our school leaders, the 8th Grade, has been delving into the metric system by learning how to convert between metric and imperial measurements of distance, mass, volume, and temperature. That way, when they travel the world, they know that 80 KPH is WAY slower than 80 MPH and to ditch the winter jacket when the weather reporter says it is 25 degrees Celsius outside...

     The HCA community was, unfortunately, impacted by the evolving presence of the coronavirus when the decision was made to limit the perf...
