This week, Grade 6 helped make tree ornaments during Community Time with the rest of the Middle School. There was a wonderful spirit of collaboration between the grades as they worked on their project!
Grade 6 was also busy in the science classroom where they began their study of minerals. After learning that minerals are classified only as solids, we examined some common salts under the hand lens to see their crystalline structure. We then dissolved the salts in water and poured the solution on dark paper to see if the crystals re-formed after the water evaporated.
Stay tuned for the outcome!
