Busy in and out of the classroom!

     That time of the year is upon us! Being busy in and out of the classroom is a regular part of the great vibe here at HCA. The Thanksgiving prayer service and teacher appreciation ceremony prominently featured members of the 6th grade...well done!





                           


     The Middle School also enjoyed a pre-Thanksgiving breakfast feast before the holiday events later that week in school.



     This week, Grade 6 helped make tree ornaments during Community Time with the rest of the Middle School. There was a wonderful spirit of collaboration between the grades as they worked on their project!






     Grade 6 was also busy in the science classroom where they began their study of minerals. After learning that minerals are classified only as solids, we examined some common salts under the hand lens to see their crystalline structure. We then dissolved the salts in water and poured the solution on dark paper to see if the crystals re-formed after the water evaporated.
